Glow & Unique Sources Interior Design Students Should Recognize

By Katie Arden

There's a good chance that certain sources of glow will exist in your home. While light from the outside world may peer in through the windows, you have to take into account some of the household items that add something special. It's like they are more personal, by comparison, and the fact that there are different sources of glow cannot be overlooked. Interior design graduates can say the same, as these are just a few of the best sources to consider.

It wasn't uncommon for me, as a child, to visit my grandmother and see the litany of candles around the house. She took to them, not only for the light that they presented but the various scents they were made with. What this meant was that one room would wind up smelling distinctly unique from another, though not in negative ways. If anything, these candles proved to be great sources of glow, regardless of how traditional they have been on the surface.

Another source of glow to consider would be lanterns, as they incorporate the aforementioned candles in order to create more portable methods. There are many colors that these lanterns come in, meaning that it wouldn't be out of the question for the aforementioned glow to be a unique color. It could be a bright white, of course, but what about other hues designed to make your home stand out? Simply put, lanterns aren't to be overlooked.

There's also the utilization of glass cubes, which are especially great for those who adore candles. Essentially, you can place various candles of different sizes into a single cube, which allows their flames to become more luminous through the cube in question. From there, they can present different colors, which are especially prominent at night, as one could imagine. If you're looking for a place to store your candles, at the very least, glass cubes are that much more worthwhile.

If you want to talk about glow, as a whole, you can clearly see that multiple sources exist. There are many different ones which may strike your fancy, though this is dependent on your tastes as well as the look of your house in general. To say that there are options would be an understatement, as I am sure most can attest to. All you have to do is consult interior design specialists, choose from what they may recommend, and you can go from there.
