If you're planning outdoor exercise during high-pollen season, do it either early in the day or late at night. Studies show that pollen levels are lowest at these times of the day and you will be most comfortable.

Though it may be unpleasant to do, keeping windows closed can prevent many allergens from entering the home. If your windows are open, pollen can collect in your home and cause your allergies to worsen. Prevent allergy symptoms by cleaning filters that are in your air conditioner and vents.

Keep your windows closed during the height of allergy season so that outdoor allergens can't get inside. Allergens from outside easily move into your home through open windows. In addition, be sure to periodically check any filters in your home, such as those in air conditioning units, so they can be cleaned and continue to work efficiently.
