2. Stop smoking.

Some of the studies conducted have proven that when you do smoke cigarettes, your skin ages prematurely. This is due to the fact that by smoking you release an enzym that catabolizes the collagen and elastin which are important proteins of the skin.

3. Get healthy amount of sleep.

When you don't sleep enough, your body generates cortisol in excess. This is a special chemical that breaks down the skin cells. You need to get enough rest to produce enough human growth hormone which is important in keeping your skin thick, more elastic thus helping your skin prevent wrinkling.

4 Sleep on your back.

There are certain positions that you can sleep on and lead straight to sleep lines that may become wrinkles that will not disappear even when you wake up as they become etched into the outside of your skin. So when you sleep, it increases the formation of forehead lines and wrinkles on your cheeks and chin. The sole way to prevent this is to sleep on a supine position.

5. You should not squint.

Wear reading glasses. When you become accustomed squinting you encourage repeated facial movements due to overwork of the facial muscles. This brings forth a crease just beneath the skin surface. Some of these crinkles become a wrinkle. Thus it is imperative to don sunglasses. Your sunglasses helps protect the skin under the eyes from damage due to sun exposure and at the same time it also keeps you away from squinting.
