By Essie Osborn

When one is a child, he will be at a crucial stage where he will start to learn the ways of life and how to differentiate things that are right and wrong. It is for this reason that story books with moral lessons are extremely important because they both keep the child entertained and also instills values in his head. One such book that hit the kiddie book market is none other than Jessica The Littlest T Rex

Richard Hamilton wrote this book and aimed it to the young readers so that they will grow up to be fine young adults. Now even though the book is catered to the young kids, he writes it in such a way that it can also be read by a rather mature crowd and still be interesting. Now his unique sense of humor in a very light form can be found a lot in this book as the reader reads on.

One of the best things about this book is that it tells the story of a dinosaur that can communicate with other dinosaurs like it is human. Now he chose the dinosaur as his main character because kids these days love dinosaurs and using dinosaurs would easily capture the attention of the readers. It is basically a book about dinosaurs that are going through human situations.

Obviously, the story is basically about a talking dinosaur who is trying to go through life like a human child. The main character Jess, is a young t rex who is going through real life situations which is why most of the readers will be able to relate to. The author wanted to make the story such so that it can be entertaining and also understood.

Friendship is actually one of the main themes in this book and teaches children how important this aspect of life is. In fact, the story would highlight the friendship between Jess and her two rodent best friends Randy and Carol. Early in the story, the author explains how these three met and became close.

It was because she could not fit in with the other t rexes that her only friends were these two rodent creatures. Earlier in the story, readers will find out that Jess could not fit in with the other dinosaurs simply because she was much smaller than them. It was for this reason that her friends were these rodents.

Now as these three friends progress in the story, Jess learns the value of friendship and just how important her real friends are. This is an extremely important lesson that the author wanted to instill into the heads of young readers today. Morals are very important in the lives of children and can be taught through simple stories like this.

As one can see, this book is definitely a masterpiece and is a very good book for children who are starting to meet new people. Under its mask of an entertaining story of thinking dinosaurs, there lies a lesson that all children have to learn as they age each day. This is definitely a book that children will appreciate and learn a lot from.
